Paddling to success
ClwbPadloDysynni Paddling Club has grown at an amazing rate since it was established in late 2007, and already has some 90 members. Thanks to an award from The Peter Saunders Trust, the club now has a trailer to transport and store its kayaks.
The club was established in November 2007 and began recruiting members in February 2008. At first the club organised training three times a week at Bro Dysynni Leisure Centre. With the start of the club's outdoor sessions in May, the club found itself with the problem of transporting its kayaks, and storing them securely.
The Trustees of the Peter Saunders Trust were delighted to come to the rescue and make an award to enable the purchase of a specialist trailer.
“The award is very generous and will help us to run more effectively as a club.” said a delighted Keith Bartlett, secretary of the club.
